“Marine Drive Ultra" is an initiative to activate and promote marathon and ultramarathon activities in Bangladesh. It is the first ever and exhilarating ultramarathon experience along the scenic coastal stretch of Bangladesh! Immerse yourself in the challenge of endurance run with three awe-inspiring categories:

the 50K for those craving a thrilling journey, the 100K for the dedicated adventurers, and the ultimate test of grit, the 100-mile category.

Runners will traverse through breathtaking landscapes, taking on varied terrains and conquering the distance with the backdrop of the mesmerizing Marine Drive.

Marine Drive Ultra is more than just a race. It is a creative expression of Bangladesh’s culture and identity in the global ultra-running scene. It is also a part of ‘Branding Bangladesh’, a project that aims to contribute to the development of the country's sports-tourism industry providing the responsible citizenry in connection with socializing the marginalized people. We believe that we are all connected and that we share the same joys and sorrows.

We have successfully organized two seasons of the Marine Drive Ultra event, starting from 2020. The first event, Marine Ultra Season-1, was held in 2020 with the slogan "Travel Responsibly". The second event, Marine Drive Ultra Season-2, took place in 2021 with the slogan "My Country, My Responsibility"."

Marine Drive is an 80-kilometer-long road that runs along the Bay of Bengal, stretching from Cox's Bazar to Teknaf in Bangladesh.

Marine drive Ultra can be challenging due to various factors. Scorching heat at day and cold at night, salty humidity, unpredictable weather conditions, continuous exposure to wind and remoteness are some of the challenges.

Additionally, long distance running can lead to fatigue, and the lack of easily accessible amenities along remote coastal stretches adds to the difficulty. The combination of these elements makes ultra running along coastal roads physically demanding and mentally challenging.
